The Process Reassignment Design and Implementation for Business Continuity Operations
(Proceedings of the International Conference on e-Business 2007, 2550-11) Pakorn Sermsuk; Kasiphan Masakul; Suchai Thanawastien
In this paper, a new design methodology for business continuity is presented. The methodology is based on the process reassignment in a multiprocessor system in which disjoint process groups are running on different processors. The reassignment process is modeled as the process coupling graph and matrix in which the coupling weight between different process groups is defined as the number of data accesses as defined in the CRUD matrix. The scenario considered is that of multiple single failures of processors that can occur over a time period. The reassignment vectors for each state of failures are computed on-the-fly.

Ontological Automation of Strategic Information System Planning
(International Journal of The Computer, The Internet and Management, 2550-11) Kasiphan Masakul; Suchai Thanawastien; Pakorn Sermsuk
The formulation of strategic information system planning is a systematic process consisting of SWOT analysis, CRUD matrix formation and affinity analysis, business area analysis, projects definition, prioritization of projects, budget computation, phasing, and defining key performance indicators for follow-up and evaluation. This paper describes the automation of the procedures in formulating the strategic information system documents. The software will assist in collecting, relating, and generating the desired output. Also, the software employs the ontological concepts and built-in domain specific intelligence ontological distribution function to assist the strategic information system planner in the affinity analysis of the CRUD matrix forming the right business areas in implementing the strategic information systems.

    Agile Content Development
(Proceedings of International Conference on e-Business 2007 (INCEB 2007), 2550-11-22) Sirirat Mutchimadilok; Seree Chinodom
In the expanding e-business market of selling SCORM-based content on-line, the cost of producing e-Learning content must be further optimized. The traditional Analysis Design Develop Implement Evaluation (ADDIE) model is shown in this paper to be inadequate compared to the new Agile Content Development (ACD) based on effort equations formulated for each model and industry statistical content development based on ADDIE and ACD.

A Spreading Activation Approach for e-Commerce Site Selection System
(Proceedings of the International Conference on e-Business 2007, 2550-11) Nilamit Nilas; Phongchai Nilas; Kasiphan Masakul
This paper presents a dynamic associative network model for e-commerce site selection system based on the psycholinguistic theories of human memory; Spreading Activation Network (SAN). The system is designed to give personalized suggestions based on the user’s current personal preferences, other user’s common preferences, web-link structure, and activation rules. This work employs a SAN as a technique to provide the evaluation and selection mechanism that provides multiple parallel processes for perception by representing dynamic associations among web-links, user activities, and the relevance subjects of the websites. The system attempts to evaluate a number of sites in an unpredictable complex dynamic environment. Spreading activation explains the predictive top-down effect of knowledge. These processes select the group of the most suitable websites (context) in response to the current conditions (e-commerce activities) while the system continues working towards the user objective goal.
