Abstract: The primary goal of this research is to identify the relationship between traffic volume speed and density on urban arterial roads. Consequently, the maximum flow rate can be found more correctly. Road samples were located in 3 areas as Bangkok Metropolitan, City municipal of Samutprakan, and Town municipal of Chachaengsao. Three road patterns were selected in each area as radial road, cross town road and ring road. Traffic survey on every road patterns were collected in each direction so the number of overall road samples is equal 9 with 2 directions per sample. To find out the relationship between flow-speed-density more precisely, two important factors are considered. First is R2 from linear curve between speed and density is more than 0.6 and second is maximum flow rate from the study is close to service flow rate from Highway Capacity Manual 2000. Finally, Ladprao road is only one sample which reaches these two important factors
