From the literature review of learning Chinese of Matthayomsuksa 6 Students at Suwannakhuhapittayasan School, the researchers found that many students cannot write Mandarin properly. There are various researches to develop the Mandarin writing ability, the research chose task-based language learning to improve students’ ability. The purpose of this research was to develop Mandarin writing of matthayomsuksa 6 students by using task-based language learning. The sample in the research was 24 students of the classroom 6/1 from 6 classes of matthayomsuksa 6 at Suwannakhuhapittayasan School, Suwannakhuha district, Nongbualumphu Province. The research instruments were 1) 6 task-based language learning lesson plans and 2) Mandarin writing ability test. The research was pre-experimental design containing 4 steps: 1) using pretest Mandarin writing test 2) applying 6 lesson plans to develop the ability 3) using posttest Mandarin writing test and 4) analyzing the data. The analyzed statistics in the research were percentage, mean, development percentage, and standard deviation. The result of the study found that 1) 54.81 percentage of the samples passed the criterion but 45.19 percentage of the samples did not pass the criterion 2) 96.67 percentage of the samples had development of their Mandarin writing ability but 3.33 percentage of the samples passed the criterion and did not have had development of their Mandarin writing ability.
