รายการ THE SUSTAINABILITY OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING AND LEARNING IN THE ERA OF THAILAND 4.0(2563-12-18) Piboon Sukvijit Barr; Wilasinee Darachai; Sutthicha PhetwiraIn the paradigm shift to Thailand 4.0, English language teaching and learning in higher education inevitably plays a crucial role in this economic transformation as it is one of the key drivers of development and innovation. Without efficient English proficiency of its citizens, Thailand’s economy will not be able to transform to a high-income nation or compete with other countries in the global market. Therefore, it is a challenging task for higher education to produce a new generation workforce with high English language skills, in addition to other skills, namely stronger problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and ICT, which are in line with the Thailand 4.0 era. This paper reveals the trends, especially online learning, in English language teaching and learning in the era of Thailand 4.0. Challenges in utilizing those trends in the context of language teaching and learning in Thailand will be addressed. However, those challenges are taken as an opportunity for change in English language teaching and learning toward Thailand 4.0.รายการ การศึกษาการจัดกิจกรรมการเรียนการสอนวิชาภาษาอังกฤษ ENG213 คำศัพท์และทักษะการอ่าน ตามรูปแบบการเรียนรู้ของผู้เรียน (Learning Style) ของนักศึกษา มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม ปีการศึกษา 2559(Sripatum University, 2559) สุทธิชา เพชรวีระ; Sutthicha PhetwiraThe objectives of this research were 1) to examine the effect of learning style-based instructional activities on the achievement in a course in a course ENG213 Vocabulary and Reading Skills’ teaching and learning of Sripatum University students in Academic Year 2016, and The sample for this research consisted of 150 students, including students from 3 learning styles: 50 of Visual Learners 50 of Auditory Learners, and 50 of Tactile Learners. They were obtained by cluster random sampling. The instruments used were pre-test and post-test. The research results indicated that the teaching and learning activities based on the students’ learning styles helped students to have better improvement in English reading comprehension skills. It was an effective learning technique which helped the students to learn effectively and helped to improve their learning outcomes. The teaching and learning activities based on the students’ learning styles led to the students’ learning effectiveness in every group which was statistically significant at the level of .05.
