An experiment was conducted to collect consumer responses toward animated and static ads of offensive and non-offensive products. The results revealed an interaction between ad design and offensive product. Specifically, when used in offensive product advertisements, animated ads were not effective for consumer attention, but yielded positive response in terms of attitude toward product. For theoretical contribution, the findings support that information processing model (IPM) is accurate in predicting consumer cognitive response toward cartoon ads, whereas U&G, arousal, and distinctive theory is more accurate in predicting consumer affective response. In practical, these findings can also be used to guide ad designers and marketers in determining the ad designs that are suitable for offensive products.รายการ The leadership approaches and the prevention for turnover intentions(Sripatum University, 2561-12-20) Papada Pitchayachananon; Ravipa Akrajindanon; Kriangkai PookayapornThe objectives of this paper are to extend the existing knowledge regarding leadership, its definition, and core characteristics associated with the types of managers that make employees voluntarily leaving the company. This knowledge would provide a better understanding of the factors that contribute to customer incivility, emotional exhaustion, job satisfaction, employees’ perceived performance, and turnover intentions among high-contact-service employees. Seven hypotheses are proposed to test the relationships between customer incivility and its determinants which are emotional exhaustion, job satisfaction, employees’ perceived performance, and turnover intentions. This paper fills a gap in knowledge on the role of emotional exhaustion among high-contact-service employees that has an impact on job satisfaction, employee’s perceived performance, and turnover intentions. With the proposed conceptual framework, the author aims to clarify the effects of customer incivility on high contact-service employees and organizational behaviors which leads to the protection of employee morale and the pro-action of the management team to deal with the situations. The limitation is that the study should be extended beyond the conceptual stage and conduct the empirical research across the high-contact-service employees in different countries, different industrial settings, and to explore the role of cultural differences on emotional exhaustion. The managerial implications would extend to improving the recruitment and evaluating the effectiveness of development programs such as developing and retaining talent that drive the organization for success.รายการ The Effects of Customer Incivility on High-Contact Service Employees and Organizational Behaviors: A Framework and Analysis of Propositions(ศูนย์ส่งเสริมและพัฒนางานวิจัย มหาวิทยาลัยศรีปทุม, 2564-10-28) Pitchayachananon, P. and Nontakao, S.The research objective of this paper is to study a broad context of emotional exhaustion and its importance to hospitality management. This will generally reflect trends of Thai consumer behavior which will vary according to a change in the percentage of the aging population. Elderly people, then, become a new customer base to which several business organizations are paying attention. The aviation industry, like many others, is paying a lot of attention to the increasing ratio of elderly passengers, especially the low-cost airlines. The Airlines business, itself, basically is a business that relies heavily on customer satisfaction. The purpose of this research is to study factors affecting marketing and services provided by Thai low-costairlines towards Thai elderly passengers. Through the application of the Purposive Samplingapproach, the sample used was 500 Thai elderly passengers who use low-costairlinesat Don Mueang International Airport. Descriptive Statistics and Ordered Logistic Regression were applied to analyze the factors that affect the satisfaction level in three areas: the airline's overall marketing image, the airline's personnel of the airlinesand the service standard of the airlines. The findings revealed that age, income per month and physical limitation of the elderly passengers affect the satisfaction level of the passengers against low-cost airlines. These results were much advantageous that each low-cost airline may take them into its considerationto further refer toor use as the ground for continuous development of its services to maintain the customer base and good image of the airlines.
