This research is an exploratory research, which its objectives are to study of behavior
modification in class of MGT311 (Planning and Control Management). The samples are used in this
study are the students in management department who enroll for MGT311 (Planning and Control
Management) class in 2nd semester in academic year of 2555. The total numbers of samples are 83
students. The research method used for this study is class checklist, homework checklist and student
behavior checklist. The data was analyzed by using statistical method such as mean, and Frequency
The researcher observed the students’ behavior during 1st week to 7th week. The results find
that students have obviously behaviors such as late to class, often skip to the class, not pay attention
the lecture, surfing the Internet and online texting. Those students who have such behavior turned out
to have a low score. However, after behavior modification is used, the researcher finds that the
students are more effectively study, having better final score and better grade. The statically test finds
that the students before using behavior modification technique is used the mean level is 57 points.,
while the behavior modification technique is used the mean level is increased to be 75 points.
The researcher additionally finds that teacher or lecturer plays a significant role to improve the
effectiveness of the students, including the various ways of teaching methods, teachers’ characteristic,
preparing pleasurable activities in class with those all would reflect to the students attending to the
class
